HYDERABAD: All India Mahila Congress Committee President Prabha Thakur has cautioned voters in Telangana not to lose the unprecedented development that is taking place in the State and benefits accruing from the Government by falling into the trap of sentiment being raked up by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders.

The three- time Member of Parliament from Rajasthan, who was here to participate in the party’s campaign for the byelections, addressed a gathering of Andhra Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee on Sunday.

She said people should be vary of the trap being laid by the regional parties.

“People will lose the benefits if they support regional and sub-regional parties,” she said.

Expressing confidence that development would overcome the sentiment in the region, she complimented Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy for taking up several developmental and welfare programmes during the last four years.

She said Dr. Reddy understood the pulse of the people and hence launched so many programmes.
