Telangana protagonist Madan Mohan’s statue unveiled at Kondapaka Chief Minister says only Congress has the ability to deliver Telangana
Enthusiastic: People line up to welcome Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy at Siddipet in Medak district on Sunday. Siddipet (Medak): Chief Minister Y.S. Rajsekhara Reddy’s road show in Dommata and Siddipet Assembly segments of Medak district on Sunday evoked mixed response from voters. While the response was good in Siddipet town, Mirdoddi, Dubbaka town and Kondapaka, the response was lukewarm in Thoguta, Doultabad and rural Dubbaka mandals. Dr. Reddy, who completed a road show in Ramaympet few days ago, returned to campaign in the remaining two segments. After arriving at Kondapaka by helicopter, he hoisted party flag and unveiled a statue of Madan Mohan, a native of Kondapaka and protagonist of separate Telangana. Minister Geetha Reddy was also present. The road show then continued through Sirisinagandla and Thoguta as per schedule despite severe heat wave. In Mirdoddi, the native place of Congress candidate Manohar Rao, Dr. Reddy addressed impressive crowds. Even though the crowd listened to him with rapt attention, the response has been minimal through out. While TRS flags dominated the village skyline in Kondapaka, Dommata and Doultabad, the presence of TDP was irrefutable in the Dubbaka and Thoguta areas. The Pranahita-Chevella project considered to be a boon to the landlocked Medak and Rangareddy districts of Telangana region figured prominently in his speech. In Siddipet and Mirdoddi, Dr. Reddy was accorded a grand welcomeMeanwhile at Dommata and Siddipet Assembly segments, Dr. Reddy said that only Congress under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi has the ability to deliver Telangana. He asked the voters not to trust TRS leader K. Chandrasekhara Rao as he has no credibility.
