Boy killed in road accident

VIJAYAWADA: A 15-year-old boy was killed in a road accident near Bandar Locks on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Ravi of One Town. According to the Krishnalanka police, Ravi was driving a motorcycle with his friends Adapa Venugopal and Lankapalli Harish Babu pillion riding from One Town to Balaji Nagar.

When the bike reached near Bandar Locks, a tipper coming in the opposite direction hit the motorcycle, killing Ravi on the spot. Venugopal and Harish Babu escaped with injuries.

Bodies fished out

The Krishnalanka police fished out the bodies of a 12-year-old boy and a 50-year-old man from the Krishna on Sunday. The victims’ identities were yet to be established. While the boy’s body was spotted near the barrage, the old man’s body was found behind Saneeswara temple. The bodies were sent to the mortuary.
