“Bypolls a referendum on Telangana”

HYDERABAD: Telangana Regional Development Board chairman V. Purushotham Reddy on Sunday said the byelections were definitely a referendum on a separate Telangana and wanted the people to vote for candidates who espoused the cause.

The senior Congress leader again took pot shots at some party leaders as well as his detractors on the eve of the byelections.

Party faulted

Stating that he was in favour of those candidates who advocated creation of a separate State, Mr. Reddy again faulted the party for fielding candidates in the byelections.

Mr. Reddy criticised those who made light of the outcome of the elections.
