KOCHI: Children entering the fifth to tenth standards have a unique opportunity to join the CUSAT (Cochin University of Science and Technology) Young Scientist’s Forum, which is a society of young, enthusiastic children interested in Science and Technology. The Forum meets twice or thrice every month eight months from June 2008 to January 2009. In each meeting, programmes like discussions, lectures, classes and demonstrations, touching upon the recent developments in science, technology and environment will be organised, said a release. There will also be regular laboratory sessions in disciplines such as maths, physics, chemistry, biology and IT. Facilities like the Science Park, Herbal Garden, science pavilions, laboratories and Children’s Science Library will all be open to the participants of the Forum.
