Power shutdown put off

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced that it is not going to resort to power shutdown on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. following the postponement of work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation in providing intermediate tower at Kaggadasapura of 66 kV Hoody, HAL No 1 and 2, according to a BESCOM release. Earlier, BESCOM had said that there will be no power supply on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Dickenson Road, Hospital Road, Cubbon Road, Kamaraja Road, Commercial Street, Shivajinagar, Bharathi Nagar, Richmond Circle, part of Mission Road, Longford Garden, Longford Road, Brigade Road, Residency Road, Kasturba Road, Brunton Road, and other areas.
