Host of programmes to mark anniversary

KOCHI: Minister for Fisheries and Registration S. Sarma will inaugurate the ‘janasangamam’ programme, being organised as part of the second anniversary celebrations of the State government, at the Town Hall on May 22 at 10 a.m.

This is part of the extensive programmes drawn up by the district administration and the Information and Public Relations departments to celebrate the anniversary.

K.V. Thomas, MLA, will preside over the function. MLAs, MPs, the District Panchayat President and the District Collector will attend.

Title deeds to those displaced for the SmartCity project would be handed over at the programme, District Collector M. Beena has said.

The organising committee with Mr. Sarma as chief patron, P.S. Shyla, District Panchayat President as patron, Ms. Beena as chairperson and P. Vinod, district information officer, as convener will be the driving force behind the celebrations.
