HYDERABAD: Topsgrup, claimed to be the country’s second largest security solutions provider, is planning to expand its base in Andhra Pradesh. The company wants its presence to grow from the present 28 per cent in Hyderabad to nearly 45 per cent. Topsgrup offers security services to Tatas, Birlas, Reliance, Airtel, Oracle, HSBC, ICICI and others. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Chairman and Managing Director of Topsgrup Diwan Rahul Nanda said that the company acquired Guardwell Detective Services Pvt. Ltd. in an all-cash deal for Rs. 20 crore. Managing Director of Guardwell Viswanath V. Katti would continue to hold the same position, as Guardwell would retain its identity with its 4,500-strong manpower. Diverse servicesWhile Guardwell was offering security services to big industries like ITC, Genpact, Mindtree, ABN Amro, ING Vysya, and Satyam Computers, the Topsgrup was offering a diverse services, including guard service, cash transfer to ATM counters, investigative services, 1252 service on call, and air evacuation and rescue. Mr. Nanda said that the market capitalisation of his company was Rs. 1,000 crore, with over 70,000 security staff and 110 offices across the country. Topsgrup also acquired a company in UK for US $140 million .
