Patna: The Patna High Court on Monday asked the NDA Government in Bihar to constitute the state human rights commission by June 30, 2008 and report it to the court. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Rajendra Mal Lodha and Justice K K Mandal passed the order after hearing a PIL filed by a senior advocate Shruti Singh. Ms. Singh, in her PIL, had raised the issue saying the cases of violation of human rights in Bihar in the recent past had increased and cited several incidents of custodial deaths in the state.
