Power charges of streetlights

HYDERABAD: The Local Bodies Public Representatives’ Association has urged the government to regularise streetlights in panchayats and pay their maintenance charges. It has warned of launching an agitation if the demand was not accepted. Association’s secretary Bonthala Chandra Reddy said that APTransco had stopped power supply to villages on the ground that panchayats were not paying their electricity bills. —Special Correspondent
