Entrance test for hospitality course

CHANDIGARH: The entrance test for admission to the four-year Bachelor degree course in International Hospitality Business Management-2008/09 will be conducted by Kurukshetra University on June 28.

An official spokesman said here on Monday that the course is run by the Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (a unit of India Tourism Development Corporation), New Delhi.

He said candidates who have passed their 10+2 from a recognised board of education with English as one of the subjects are eligible for this test. The brochure along with the prescribed application form can be obtained from the Manager, Printing and Publication, Kurukshetra, by paying Rs. 500 (Rs.125 for Scheduled Castes/Backward Castes candidates of Haryana) in cash or by post by sending a demand draft for Rs.550 (Rs.175 for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) in favour of Registrar, KUK, payable at Kurukshetra.

The brochure and application form would also be available on cash payment at ITDC, New Delhi. The prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from http// www.kukinfo.com and www.itdc.org Such forms should be accompanied by a demand draft for Rs. 500 (Rs.125 for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) drawn in favour of Registrar, KUK.

Applications should reach the office of the Chairman, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, Kurukshetra, by June 17. The prospectus would be available for sale from May 22.
