The Hindu wins title

Hyderabad: The Hindu defeated Karvy XI by seven runs in the final of the third Global Coal Corporate sports festival’s cricket tournament organised by Dravyansh Corporate Cricket and Sports organisers here on Monday.

The scores: The Hindu 125 for seven (Krishna Rao 41) bt Karvy XI 118.

Osmania held to a draw

Osmania University was held to a goalless draw by AC Guards XI in the A-2 division league hockey championship here on Monday. Both teams missed several good chances to score. In Sundays match Young Turks beat Secunderabad Sporting 6-0.

Olympic Day run

The Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association will organise the Olympic Day run at Hyderabad and district and mandal headquarters within the state on June 23. Former and present sportspersons national and international level players, Olympians, Arjuna awardees, students of schools and colleges and eminent citizens have been requested to take part.
