Two run over

NEW DELHI: In a hit-and-run case, a speeding Tata Sumo jeep ran over a dumper driver and his assistant and seriously injured a motor mechanic near Shastri Park here in the early hours of Monday. A hunt has been launched for the driver.

According to the police, the accident took place around 4 a.m. when the dumper driver Dinesh (35) and his helper Sabir (34) were changing one of the flat tyres of the vehicle with the help of a mechanic, Liyaquat (30), near a petrol pump. The Tata Sumo allegedly hit them and sped away.
