THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Veliyam Bhargavan has called upon the youth to wage a relentless struggle against global and national monopolies. Inaugurating a rally here on Monday to mark the conclusion of the ‘Deshabhimaana Jatha’ organised by the CPI-led All-India Youth Federation (AIYF) from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, the CPI leader pointed out that monopolies were gaining in strength the world over even as millions starved. In India too, the monopolies had grown to such a level as to control the entire economy and deny millions their basic needs, he said. Mr. Bhargavan said it was the duty of the youth to rally against monopolies of all kinds and keep the natio’s sovereignty intact.
