The police are trying to track down the suppliers NEW DELHI: Two Nigerian nationals and two women have been arrested by the Narcotics Branch of the Delhi police in three separate cases on charges of possessing drugs. The police claim to have seized 10 gm of cocaine and 400 gm of heroin from them. Acting on a tip-off that two Nigerian drug peddlers would deliver a consignment of cocaine near Satyam Cinema at Nehru Place, the police laid a trap and arrested the duo allegedly with the stuff. They were identified as Uzoigwe Okechukwu Isaac (23) and Ezeigbo Madubuchi Prince (22). During interrogation, Isaac purportedly revealed that he came to India in February for a month but overstayed and was initiated into drug peddling by friends. He had been staying in Mumbai, the police said. Prince had been living in Mukherjee Nagar. He came here last December on a business visa and had allegedly been supplying drugs in the garb of garment business. The police said the two accused worked for a drug kingpin named Morris, also a Nigerian national, who operates from Mumbai. They have initiated legal action against the landlord who had rented his house to Prince without getting tenant verification done. In another case, the police arrested a 38-year-old woman named Veena near Welcome metro railway station on charges of heroin smuggling. They claim to have seized 300 gm of heroin from her. In the third case, Miraz (37) was arrested at Paharganj after 100 gm of heroin was allegedly found in her possession. During interrogation, she disclosed that she was a resident of Uttar Pradesh. She told the police that she procured heroin from Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh. The police are trying to track down the suppliers.
