‘Stop illegal construction by Jindal’
Correspondent
VIZIANAGARAM: The CPI (ML-New Democracy)’s district committee has demanded that the “illegal construction” of compound wall along the lands of farmers in S.Kota mandal by Jindal be stopped immediately.
At a joint press conference on Tuesday, the party divisional committee member K. Sanyasi Rao, member of BTVPS (Bauxite thavvakala vyathirekha porata samiti) M. Demudu Babu and State PoW vice-president Lakshmi alleged that the district Collector had sent a report to the Government that he had received no objection from farmers for land acquisition in spite of giving A1 notice to them and also informing them through beating of drums.
They said that Revenue officials worked hand-in-glove with Jindals and violated all legislations.
Mr. Demudu Babu said the police too supported Jindals and framed cases against Adivasis who opposed construction of compound wall in their lands. They threatened to intensify their agitation if the administration failed to pressure Jindal to stop construction work.
