Constable commits suicide

Patna: A constable with Seema Suraksha Bal allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his rifle at the SSB office near Danapur here, police said on Tuesday. One fellow constable and a passerby were also injured by stray bullets, they said.

“Though the shooting incident is being investigated by the ASP (Danapur), it, prima facie, appeared that Constable C Singh killed himself by firing from the carbine and the stray bullets hit a constable posted there and a passerby, critically wounding them,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Patna Amit Kumar said.

The injured were admitted in a hospital, he said.
