MOSCOW: Single yellow cards given at the European Championship will be cancelled after the quarterfinals to help players avoid suspension for the final, according to a UEFA ruling on Tuesday. UEFA’s Executive Committee accepted the proposal at its meeting ahead of the Champions League final in Moscow, switching from the previous system where single yellow cards are dropped from a player’s record after the first-round group stage. — AP
