NIZAMABAD: Telugu Mahila president and former Telugu actress Roja said her party Telugu Desam is not considering the byelections as referendum and if any party feels so that is their wish.

Debacle

Addressing a series of road side meetings during her road show in Dichpally constituency on Tuesday, she said Telangana Rashtra Samithi foisted elections on people and both Congress and TRS cheated Telangana people in the name of separate state.

She said people were not believing TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao and therefore the party would have shocking debacle in the elections.

Criticising the Congress, Ms. Roja said the Congress was showing partiality in sanctioning houses, house sites, pensions and loans for Pavala Vaddi and benefiting only its leaders and workers.

Corruption

She said the Congress was steeped in corruption and least bothered about the public welfare.

During her whirlwind tour she covered some villages in Navipet, Makloor, Dharpally and Dichpally mandals.

She enquired with women and old men about distribution of pensions and ration.
