Loading wages

KOCHI: Kerala Cement Dealers’ Association, Kochi zonal committee and Kerala Headload and General Workers’ Union (CITU) have reached an agreement on the wages for loading and unloading operations for all shops and commercial establishments in West Kochi for the period till the end of March 2010. The rates are as follows: unloading a packet of cement and stacking — Rs. 4.50; unloading a tonne of steel and stacking — Rs. 102.50; unloading a tonne of asbestos — Rs. 122; unloading a mini lorry-load of roofing tiles/decorative tiles — Rs. 555. — Staff Reporter
