Traffic cop injured

NEW DELHI: A Delhi Traffic Police constable was injured when a Honda City car hit him in South Extension on Tuesday. He is now stated to be out of danger.

The accident took place around 5-30 p.m. when Constable Rakesh and a colleague were chasing the Honda City on their motorcycle. The car had earlier hit a scooterist. The policemen intercepted the vehicle in South Extension. When Rakesh went up to the car, its driver suddenly pressed on the accelerator injuring the constable in the leg.

The police have registered a case and are trying to track down the vehicle that bore a Haryana registration number.
