On terrorism

Although 17 years have passed since Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in Sriperumbudur, it is unfortunate that the Government of India has not succeeded in arresting the main accused, LTTE leader Velupillai Prabakaran.

Worse, the capital punishment awarded to the three other main accused in the case is yet to be carried out. Nalini, whose death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment, has even petitioned the Madras High Court for premature release.

R. Sekar,

Visakhapatnam
