Will it and tell it too

Please do not rest content with writing your intention in your will. By the time the will is read, the organs will be beyond use. A number of organisations, like the Mohan Foundation (telephone 044-2620-7000 or 94446-07000), offer donor cards. You may fill one of them, but any piece of paper will serve. Your signature should be witnessed by two people, one of whom should be a close relative. You must then make sure you carry the card or the paper with you at all times. It is , however, more important for you to persuade all your close relations, the ones who will be in charge of your body, that you want to donate your organs, and that they should make sure that this donation is made when you die. Even if we doctors see a valid donor card, we would not insist on taking the organs if any member of the family were to object. We do not wish to cause distress to anyone who finds it distasteful to give the organs of a loved one.
