Suspected ultras loot ICICI currency van in Jharkhand

Ranchi: A currency van of the ICICI bank carrying Rs. 5 crore and one kg gold was looted on Wednesday near Tamar area here, the police said.

The currency was being transferred from the Jamshedpur branch of the bank to Ranchi.

DIG R.K. Mallik said those involved in the loot were suspected to be members of some ultra-left outfits. He said the bank had not informed the police about its currency movement and no security was provided.
