Desikamani sizzles

CHENNAI: Desikamani’s all-round performance (three for 18 and 56) enabled Ocean Blues record a three-wicket win in the Peepee SSCA Twenty20 cricket cup.

The scores: Force 1 166 for eight in 20 overs (Mathi 31, Ramesh 48, Balaji three for 27, Vijay three for 33) bt Kotak Mahindra Bank 140 for five in 20 overs (Venkat 42).

HCL C1 Crystal 126 in 19.5 overs (Murali 32, Kannan 39, Desikamani three for 18, Viraj three for 24) lost to Ocean Blues 127 for seven in 18.4 overs (Desikamani 56, Puri 30).

Holiday 83 in 19.2 overs (Jeetu 33, Aravind four for five) lost to Peepee Appliances 86 for no loss in 11.4 overs (Durga Prasad 58 n.o.).

Rookies 165 for eight in 20 overs (Theagarajan 60, Vivek 32, A.M. Jothi Krishna three for 41) bt Klick Advertising 119 for six in 20 overs.

Pachaiyappa’s College 153 for eight in 19 overs (Sathish Kumar three for 28) bt Plp 131 for nine in 18.5 overs.

Camp for seniors

The Budokai Martial Arts Association, a long-standing karate school started by the late R.V.T. Mani, will organise a camp for senior instructors of Budokai from various parts of the country from May 23 to 25 at the MCC High School in Chetput. Call 98403 79707.
