EC notice to Rosaiah

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission (EC) cracked the whip once again by issuing yet another notice on Thursday, this time to Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K. Rosaiah for his announcement at a press conference recently that a scheme was on the anvil to control prices of essential commodities.

It asked the senior Cabinet Minister to reply to the notice by 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The EC also sought an explanation from Warangal Collector and Superintendent of Police on why they remained silent when the Congress held an election meeting to campaign for its candidate for Hanamkonda Lok Sabha constituency in the premises of a government school at Julywada.
