In a wacky situation

Summer signifies sweat, dust and flies. Add to that the election heat and you are in a real wacky situation. Hyderabadis are caught in the numbers game yet again. What makes it worse is the feeling that it is thrust on the people.

The urban voter appears to be taking the claims and promises of the various candidates with a pinch of salt.

Price rise is the only thing that seems to strike a responsive chord. Any reference to the spiralling cost of essential commodities sure draws out the fury, especially of women.

But which party will be able to convert it into votes remains the million dollar question. The Telangana sentiment is another talking point. But will it influence the urban electorate?
