While the Public Works Department will carry out works costing Rs.25 lakh, the Irrigation Department will implement projects costing Rs.4.5 lakh. The National Highways Department will spend Rs.50 lakh on flood control schemes. A press note issued here said a 150-metre-long drainage canal has been constructed from Pazhavangadi to the Thekkanamkara canal.
