Letters to the Editor
Mr. Sudarshan Rodriguez and others of his ilk have been highlighting for years the economic and environmental aspects of the Sethusamudram Ship Channel Project that goes beyond reason and logic. Their work came to focus only after te Ramar Sethu became an issue. The SSCP does not even make economic sense according to their research. If the media and the political parties focus on the debate of economics alone, the question of religion would not have not into focus. If the government still insists on implementing the project, it will be a mockery of science, conservation and environmental laws. K. Balasundram, Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu)
