Pune to host World junior badminton

VIJAYAWADA: Pune will host the World junior championship (U-19) from October 24 to November 2, according to the Badminton Association of India Joint Secretary K.Ch. Punnaiah Choudary.

Mr. Choudary said the Indian international championship will be held at Lucknow from December 1 to 7 with a prize money of $30,000.

“For the second consecutive year, World Grand Prix India Open, with a prize money of $1,50,000, will be held in India and the tournament is likely to be held in Hyderabad,” he said. — Sports Reporter
