Chikkamath transferred

BANGALORE: The State Excise Commissioner, C.R. Chikkamath, who has been held responsible by the various political parties for the recent hooch tragedy, has been transferred. The Finance Secretary, Yogendra Tripathi, will be the new Excise Commissioner. Ajay Seth, Secretary to Government, DPAR, Bangalore, is appointed in Mr. Tripathi’s place.
