Traffic island to be constructed

A cheque for Rs 1.95 lakh was handed over to Collector S. S. Jawahar on Tuesday by S. Rethinavelu, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Foodgrain Marketing Yard, as contribution for construction of a traffic island near Fatima College under ‘Namakku Name’ scheme.

The island would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.8 lakh.
