One killed in Nandigram violence

KOLKATA: One person was killed in fresh violence that broke out in the Hazrakata area of Nandigram in West Bengal’s Purbo Medinipur district on Friday. Additional security forces have been rushed there.

The area has remained troubled since the panchayat election results were announced on Wednesday.

The victim, stated to be a CPI (M) supporter, died on way to a hospital.
