Grilled in graft case

JERUSALEM: Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was grilled again by the police on Friday. Ha’aretz reported that the latest quiz, which the police have said could be decisive in establishing Mr. Olmert’s guilt or innocence, was focused on the potentially incriminating testimony given by his long-time friend and former partner. Meanwhile, a court postponed till next week the hearing of a key witness, American-Jewish businessman Morris Talansky. Mr. Olmert is suspected of having taken up to $5,00,000 cash from Mr. Talansky, violating campaign funding laws and laundering money. — Xinhua
