City schools score high in CBSE, ISC exams

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: St. Thomas Residential School, Mukkolakkal, has secured 100 per cent pass in the ICSE and ISC examinations, the results of which were announced on Tuesday.

Out of the 117 students who appeared for the ISC (science group) exam for Class XII, 105 students secured distinction and 12 secured first class. Donny George Varghese was the topper with 95.4 per cent. In the commerce stream, out of the 13 students who wrote the exam 12 secured distinction and one student got first class. Anjali Anchayil was the topper with 95.6 per cent.

Among the 163 students who wrote the ICSE examination for Class X, there were 137 distinctions and 25 first classes. Gopika Murthi and Gayatri B. Nair, both with 96.1 per cent, were the toppers.

At Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, out of the 178 students who appeared for the CBSE exam, 62 achieved distinction and 70 received first class.

At Arya Central School, of the 219 students who took the CBSE examination 70 scored 85 per cent and above and 77 scored above 75 per cent. Leena P. Markose with 95.2 per cent is the school topper.
