Argentina to meet Germany in final

MOENCHENGLADBACH: Argentina and host Germany played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday to reach the final of the women’s hockey Champions Trophy tournament.

There were few good scoring chances in the match, with both teams knowing a draw was enough to go through to Sunday’s final.

China and Japan drew 3-3 and Netherlands beat Australia 2-1 on the final day of round-robin play.

Germany and Argentina finished top of the standings with 3-1-1 records for 10 points, one ahead of the Netherlands. The Dutch face China on Sunday in the third-place match. — AP
