Andhra Pradesh
Poor students studying in government schools get average marks. Only in rare cases they get very high marks. However, rich students studying in corporate colleges are getting 90-99 per cent marks. Is it real merit? This shows the difference between the rich and the poor. It is not the question of intelligence but a case of manipulation. This can be curbed only by an honest administrator. It is for the common man and poor voter to solve this problem by electing good candidates. K.V. Subrahmanyam Ongole Tap the potential of rural poorWith sheer hard work and perseverance, a tribeswoman succeeded in clearing the Civil Services examination. Chandrakala, a tribeswoman from Garjanpally village in Yellareddypet mandal, managed to script a story of success. Some time ago, Revu Mutyala Raju of Krishna district, who hails from a family of fishermen, created history in a similar fashion. There are many such success stories in the State, in which people hailing from remote and tiny villages created history. Andhra Pradesh can produce more number of civil servants if the government takes the initiative in imparting proper training to meritorious candidates coming from poor and disadvantaged families in all districts. Chintala Padmavathi Bhadrachalam Code violationChief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and his team of colleagues are misusing the government machinery in electioneering in Telangana region. The Chief Minister did not react even though the Election Commission had slapped notices on three Ministers, including Home Minister K. Jana Reddy. It clearly indicates that Dr. Reddy is encouraging the violation of election code. A. Vijayarama Rao Kodad Muslims aware of TRS game planTRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao is leaving no stone unturned to retain all the seats in Telangana region in the next general elections. He promised tickets to Muslim candidates in 10 Assembly and 4 Lok Sabha constituencies. He also promised four Cabinet Minister posts to Muslims if elected to power in a separate Telangana. He is probably expecting that Muslims will vote for his party following his promises. Muslims are well aware that he did not give ticket to Muslims in the present by-elections. They will not fall prey to his false promises. Sk. Kareemulla Yellendu In need of tech edgeMouth-watering mango jelly of East Godavari district is money-earner also. The annual business turnover of Rs. 12 crore speaks volumes about the high demand for mango jelly prepared in this region. At this juncture, the government should encourage entrepreneurs to go in for mechanical pulping, solar drier technology for drying of the pulp and modern packaging systems for further development of the industry.
