Callous APPSC

I appeared for category ‘C’ post of Group-IV services in 1989 and got selected in March 1992 and was asked to submit relevant certificates which I did. Sixteen years have passed since and I am yet to receive my posting orders. Candidates who were selected after me in the subsequent batches were given appointment orders ignoring my legitimate claim. All my pleas fell on deaf ears. My career has been jinxed by the ineptness and callous attitude of the APPSC. All these years I have been struggling to make a living within my meagre resources. Will the APPSC wake up at least now and do the needful.

Shift DTO

Requests have been made regarding the shifting of the DTO, Begumpet to GMC Balayogi Paryatak Bhavan at Greenlands cross roads. By shifting the office to the proposed place the telegram bookings and the payments of CellOne and landline bills of BSNL would enormously increase in addition to the convenient reach of the general public where hundreds of citizens avail e-Seva services in the vicinity.

Crackdown on Bangladeshis

Apropos to the news item “Rajasthan begins crackdown on Bangladeshis staying illegally” (The Hindu, dated 17 May), the Rajasthan Government needs to be congratulated for taking this initiative.

This is in contrast to the Congress Government which is hesitant to seal the Bangladesh borders on vote bank considerations, notwithstanding the threat the immigrant Bangladeshis are posing to the security of the nation and safety of its citizens.

Take up pending projects

The move to upgrade Secunderabad and Tirupati railway stations by spending crores of rupees though welcome is not necessary as there are many railway stations where there are no basic amenities.

There are nearly 10 ongoing railway projects in the State and some are pending since decades for want of funds. If railways allocates funds for these projects in a phased manner it will help the common man.
