Boy slips in sump, dies

A three-year-old boy died after he drowned in an uncovered water sump in an apartment at Yapral on Saturday. J. Mahesh was playing in the cellar when the incident occurred. His parents -- Mogullaiah and Parvathi -- were residing in the same apartment, according to police.

Lorry driver succumbs

A lorry driver, who suffered serious injuries after he was run over by a motorcycle at Pahadisharif on Saturday, succumbed to injuries at Osmania General Hospital on Sunday.

The deceased person has been identified as Mehaboob, a resident of Kothapet.
