ERODE: Burglars gained entry in to a commercial vehicle finance branch of a leading chit funds company and decamped with Rs. 2.4 lakh. According to the police, the burglars in the small hours of Monday broke open the office shutter with hacksaw blades, entered the premises, where they used crowbars to open the safe, and decamped with the money. StolenThe office is on Perundurai Road at Pazhiyapalayam. The incident came to light only on Monday morning when the employees returned for work. Following complaint from the branch manager, the police have registered a case and are investigating.
