Four held
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: Exposing chinks in the security cordon thrown around the cricket stadium in Uppal where IPL matches are being played, four people used identity cards of others and walked up to the boundary line on Sunday night.
The intruders were watching the cricket match between the Deccan Chargers and the Royal Challengers from near the boundary line, when security personnel noticed them.
When asked to leave immediately, they said they had every right to stay near the boundary line as they possessed identity cards.
The photos on their cards did not tally with their faces. They were identified as Shaik Mohammed Sherforoz, Majid Khan, Syed Basheer Ahmed and Saifuddin. They have been remanded to judicial custody for two weeks.
