Flooded: A village affected by a lake formed after the earthquake in Beichuan County, Sichuan Province. Rescuers were preparing to blast the barrier of an earthquake-induced lake at risk of bursting and threatening people downstream in Beichuan. Experts proposed a water diversion to drain Tangjiashan Lake, formed by landslips that blocked the Jianhe River.
