Funds released for NREGP

MACHILIPATNAM: District Collector Shailaja Ramaiyer said on Monday that the Government had released Rs. 400 crores to Krishna district for implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP).

She told a press conference that the district administration had sanctioned 12,170 works of a value of Rs. 128.89 crores. As many as 565 works of a value of Rs.1.13 crores had already been completed, while 995 works of a value of Rs.14.39 crores were under progress. She said 38,379 workers were provided work.
