MRPS activists stage dharna

Kakinada: Scores of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) activists staged a dharna in front of the Collector’s office here on Tuesday expressing ire at what they described as a malicious propaganda against their community by Andhra Jyothi.

They burnt copies of the newspaper and the effigy of its managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna and warned of similar attacks in future if they were depicted in poor light.

The police took over 30 MRPS activists into custody as the agitators tried to enter the Collector’s office premises.
