KANNUR: Watershed-based work estimated at Rs.7.5 crore were carried out by the Soil and Water Conservation Department here in the last two years. An official press release issued here said water and soil conservation activities had covered 1,254 hectares that experienced soil erosion and water scarcity. The district panchayat here completed seven watershed projects during the period. — Special Correspondent
