Dispenser of all knowledge

The Ambur Muslim Educational Society was founded in 1905 , with the main objective of spreading mass universal education , especially among the backward communities , starting with an elementary school for boys, It has established, two elementary schools and two higher schools separately for boys and girls . As the number of students passing out of High Schools increased year by year the society engaged in pioneering work in educational field in this area started the colle ge in 1969- 1970 to provide higher educational faculties to them. Thus by grace of Almighty and the blessings and guidance of the eldest, the Society founded Mazharul Uloom College, which aims at encouraging and improving secular and moral education of youth.

The ideas of founding fathers are to make as one of the finest educational institutions in the state. Mazharul Uloom means , “ Dispenser of all knowledge” or “Indicator Guide to all Knowledge”. It is hoped that in the years to come, this institution by the Grace of Almighty will dispense Universal Knowledge and dispel the darkness of ignorance from our midst. The college is now affiliated to newly started Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore from the academic year 2003-04. The College underwent the process of Accreditation in March 2007 and the NAAC has awarded `B` Grade.

The College has B.A Economics, B.Sc., Mathematics, B.Com, B.Sc. Computer Science, A.B.A., (Corporate Economics with Computer Application) B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship).

Another mile-stone in the history of the college is the commencement of evening College from the academic year 1995-96. They offer B.Sc.,(Computer Science), B.B.A., M.B.M., and B.Sc.,(Microbiology), B.C.A, M.Sc. (Information Technology ), M.Com, ( Bank Management), M.Com. (General).

The staff and the management expect every student of the institution to live upto the Motto of the college, “STRIVER SECURE SUCCESS”.
