Chikkarangappa on song

BANGALORE: Chikkarangappa, playing at his home course led the field in both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sections of the Eagleton junior and sub-junior golf tournament which commenced at the Eagleton Golf Resort here on Tuesday.

In the ‘C’ category, Manu Gundas led the field.

The youngsters in the ‘D’ category (below 10 years) will join the tournament on Wednesday playing to 54 holes as against the 72 played by ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ categories.

The results: ‘A’ category: 1. Chikkarangappa (66), 2. Praful Chand (74), 3. Immamul Haque (75); 4. Khalin Joshi and Wasim Khan (76), 6. Trishul Chinappa, Syed Saqib Ahmed and Rahul Ravi (77).

‘B’ category: 1. Chikkarangappa (66), 2. Trishul Chinappa, Syed Saqib Ahmed and Rahul Ravi (77), 5. Arjun Singh (78), 6. Yashash Chandra (79).

‘C’ category: 1. Manu Gundas (76), 2. Vidit Singh (80), 3. S. Siddharth (81), 4. Subhankar Sharma (82), 5. Akshath Vidyanath (84). — Special Correspondent
