Akshaya, Roma shown the door

Coimbatore: R. Binu and K.S. Sangita bounced back from one set deficits to upset the calculations of siblings Akshaya Chandran and Roma Chandran, the top ranked players, in the under-16 girls’ singles pre-quarterfinals of the CDTA-AITA Talent Series tennis tournament at the Sastri Maidan courts here on Tuesday.

In the boys’ section, qualifier Vignesh Prabhu shocked second seed Vivek Rajan 6-1, 6-1 for a place in the last eight.
