Five-year-old girl ‘raped’

A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an Intermediate student in Neredmet on Monday night. The boy reportedly lured the girl while she was playing outside her residence in Neredmet. The boy is absconding.

Burglars struck at the house of retired police constable S. Subbaramaiah in Chandanagar on Monday night and escaped with gold jewellery weighing 37 tolas, Rs.37,000 in cash, a mobile phone and a DVD player.

A five-year-old boy was killed after a speeding seven-seater autorickshaw hit him at Saidabad on Monday. Police said the boy, Shivaji, a resident of Vaddera Basthi in Saidabad.
