Rahim recalled
DHAKA: Bangladesh recalled wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim and included uncapped batsman Dollar Mahmud in its 14-member squad named Tuesday for next month’s tri-nation cricket series.
The seven-day series with India and Pakistan starts in Dhaka on June 8.
Rahim, dropped from last month’s tour of Pakistan because of poor form, replaced Biman Ghosh, chief selector Rafiqul Alam said. Bangladesh lost all five One-Day Internationals played during the tour.
Mahmud was included for his good performance in local league matches, Alam said.
The squad: Mohammad Ashraful (capt.), Mashrafee Bin Murtaza, Mahmudullah Riad, Tamim Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed, Abdur Razzak, Farhad Reza, Shahriar Nafees, Nazimuddin, Roquibul Hassan, Shahadat Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehrab Hossain and Dollar Mahmud. — AP
